Translate App Reviews

12 Customer Reviews:

It works great, but I would like to have a few choices of the languages for daily use. Each time I use, I have to go through the list of choices , which somewhat takes longer. Otherwise, it is efficient enough to work on it between Japanese, English and French for me.

Love the way I can highlight text in Safari or Apple Mail (or almost anywhere on my Mac, really), click Translate, and up pops the window. I write novels that have sold to publishers in other countries, and I used to have to go to Google to translate my foreign reviews, which is cumbersome. This makes it so easy! I tried a free translator first, but I found it really confusing.

The requirements state Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later. The description omits that Internet access is also required, which isnt a trivial matter. I had expected a standalone application, but instead I just got a fancy interface to web services. This is nothing more than a simple program that submits translation requests to Google Translate Services - without their permisssion!

I speak french, but not perfectly, so I like an occasional assist when reading periodicals. Generally translators may give literal translation of the isolated words, but dont make actual sense of the sentence. I tested this on some paragaphs in Le Monde, and the translations appear unusually accurate for the actual meaning. However, I was terribly excited about the idea of right clicking and not needing to cut and paste, but nothing seems to happen when I right click, and I still have to cut and paste. Perhaps, Im doing somthing wrong but the right click isnt working for me.

This app is awesome for developers who want to read reviews of their apps from the app stores around the world. I just got some very useful information from Japan that was easily translated by this app!

This app is very easy to use. Well worth the money in saving translation steps that are one more thing that can wear you out if spending a lot of time online. I keep it on my dock ready for use. Although you must be connected, I found that having the browser open is not necessary to translate whatever you type or paste from your files into the "from" box. "www" stands for WORLD wide web and this app makes it so.

This app takes all the confusion and frustration out of the equation when doing Spanish homework. Makes it a bit easier to get thru and understand. I recommend it, especially, if you have online Spanish for college.

I just paid $3 for this stupid app, and it translated exactly 1 word. After that it just says that I have exceeded the quota and it give you a link to look up the error. The link then tells you that the app has been disabled because people were abusing it. I am so frustrated!!! I want my money back!

The problem of exceeding quota errors have gone away. But now 1.3 REQUIRES 64 bit processors only? Now unusable in computer which software is required.

Simple and accurate! I thank the developer for including simple text fields which makes it easy to copy the translated text. Note: This is very usable with Voiceover on the Mac!
